In my home, we tend to have a full house. From the kids who are always on the go to our fur babies who keep us on our toes as well, and when it comes to both, well we find that they are all what makes us a family. For me as a mom, I see that I like to ensure that everyone is taken care of, and when I think of the things we need in our home to keep things running, I think of the products we need and use everyday, such as the cat litter that we use. So when I found that I can head to my local Sam’s Club and pick up the 42 lb bag of the Fresh Step Total Control with the Power of Febreze, I was very pleased to not only be able to stock up on the litter we use everyday, but also purchase that litter in bulk so we can focus on more important things instead of having to restock the kitty litter.

When I went to purchase the Fresh Step Total Control with the Power of Febreze at Sam’s Club, I found that it was fairly simple to locate. I was able to find the litter in the pet isle, where I could not only get the Fresh Step Total Control with the Power of Febreze but also pick up the other pet products we needed for our home.

I like that with the Fresh Step Total Control with the Power of Febreze, which is only available at Sam’s Club, eliminates the litter box odors. It is able to do this with the Borate Technology for superior ammonia control, which acts as a antimicrobial agent and has a fresh lemongrass citrus scent to it. I also like that when it comes to the clean up, that the Fresh Step Total Control with the Power of Febreze is a clumping cat litter, which makes cleaning out the litter box a lot easier, and together helps to not only save our noses from unpleasant litter box odors but also time when it comes to cleaning out the litter box! And along with these facts that come with having the Fresh Step Total Control with the Power of Febreze, I was also able to help other animals by donating to the Pierce County Spay Station, which is a mobile vet unit that offers free and reduced cost medical attention for pets in the area and who run on the donations that they are given!

The time saved is something that we can all appreciate, because with extra time on our hands we find that we can focus on the more important things, such as spending time with our family and enjoying all of the moments that come our way. That said, with the two youngest in our home, which consist of a busy 3 year old and a busy kitten, we have come to find that the two are toddlers who together like to play and explore the world around them. And when it comes to finding ways to keep the two busy and out of trouble, I like to come up with fun and creative ways of doing so.

With that said, I have found that when it comes to activities, the two seem to prefer to play together or with the same toys. So after creating those fun busy boards for my toddler and seeing that the kitten also showed interest, I decided that I would create a busy cat box for both the kitten and my toddler to play with! To get started with building your own busy cat box you will need:

A few large boxes, ones that are big enough for cats to crawl around in (and in my case, also a toddler to be able to climb in) (Also you can get boxes at Sam’s Club when you pick up your bag of Fresh Step Total Control with the Power of Febreze)

Scissors

Hot Glue Gun

Rope (for scratching post)

a pair of old pants (to cut the zipper and fabric around the zipper)

String

Pom Pom Balls

Styrofoam Balls

Pipe Cleaners

and any other fun toys or products you might come across that you can add to keep your kitten (and toddler) busy with

Once you have all of the supplies you will need to begin by fitting the boxes together, allowing room for your kitten to be able to crawl and climb through. I cut passages, then used the extra pieces that I cut off to create stairs on the inside for the kitten to climb up through. I also cut some cardboard and glued ledges to the sides for my toddler to use as roads for his cars to go on.

After you have your box set how you want it, glue the box pieces together so that it stays in place, also be sure to glue support pieces under the steps you place on the inside of the boxes so that it remains sturdy for play.

From there cut out peek a boo holes in a few places on the box. Also cut out a place to put the zipper that will allow for a fun peek a boo window that the cat can get in and out of.

For the toys, I poked the pipe cleaners through the Styrofoam balls to make them look like bugs of such. Attach strings to both the bug balls and the pom pom balls with hot glue then attach those toys to hang from the ledges that are on the sides of the box.

Then for the scratching post, take the rope you have and wrap it around a piece of cardboard, gluing it as you go so that it stays put, and attach to the box using string and the glue to secure it in place.

Once you are done, you will find that the busy cat box is a station of fun that your cats will enjoy hours of fun with, and in my case, toddler can enjoy as well! Making the Fresh Step Total Control with the Power of Febreze from Sam’s Club a great choice to go with when it comes to eliminating those litter box odors, making clean up easier, and the busy cat box a great way to keep your busy kitty occupied!

So if you have cats in your home and you are needing to find a kitty litter that eliminates the odors and that is also a clumping cat litter, be sure to head to Sam’s Club, which is the only place you can purchase the Fresh Step Total Control with the power of Febreze!
