Science, Fun, and Learning for Kids with the Science X Smartscope

With Easter coming in just a few days and the Spring upon us, I like to find gifts to add to the Easter baskets that are both fun and engaging, and that are also perfect for utilizing during the warmer months to come. One thing that my two older kids both enjoy, is science. So when we were sent the Science X Smartscope to review from the selection of fun products at Ravensburger, I was excited to check it out!

I like that with the Smartscope, the kids and I can explore the world around us as we head outdoors to enjoy the weather. We can collect the items that they have questions about and take a closer look at them by placing what we find on the slides then taking a closer look by using our smartphones or tablets!

In fact, when it comes to being able to explore what we come across by taking a closer look at the items under this fun Smartscope, we find that we have the tools we need so that we can really explore and learn more about the world around us. I say this because along with the slides, the camera on your smartphone or tablet, and the Smartscope you find that the kit includes the following:

Base Plate, Housing, 2 Dials, Dial Shaft, Lens Holder, Object Tray, 2Magnifying Lenses, 2 Object Tray Rails, Lighting Window, Foam Plate, Lighting Unit, Screwdriver, 4 Screws, Tweezers, Petri Dish, Pipette, ObjectHolder, Cover Plate, Tablet Support, Pouch, 33” x 23” Poster, 2 Stickers, Detailed Instruction Manual.

Which in all, help to make the Science X Smartscope from Ravensburger, a great gift to put in your kids Easter baskets and help them be ready to explore the world around them this Spring!

Product received, thank you to Ravensburger as well as the PR for supplying me with a product for this review, all opinions are my own.

This is a great find! I remember when I got a microscope as a kid, we experimented with all kinds of things from nature. My favorite was to bring it outside when it was snowing, and look at snowflakes – so pretty!
