Having kids in the home, we as parents want to ensure that they stay safe. We go around child proofing every room, every hall, every corner, so that as our kids are being kids and enjoying their time playing, they are kept safe in the home. This is also something that is brought when we are on the go. By ensuring that our kids, from birth on up until they have reached the recommended height of 4 feet 9 inches, which is around 8-12 years of age, are safely secured in the car with the correct car seat or booster. And with us having 3 kids that ride in our car that are under the recommend height along with a newborn, I find that ensuring that all of the kids are safe and secured in car seats and boosters is the only way to travel. So when we were sent the Frontier Clicktight from Britax to review, I was excited to install it and add it to our vehicle for my toddler to use.
I think one of the things that I can really appreciate is that this seat is fairly simple to install, making it perfect for busy parents to be able to take in and out of their vehicles as needed. This is done by using the Clicktight Installation System, which allows us to use the seat belt system so we can install the seat securely each time we take it in and out of our vehicles.
Once the seat is installed, we can then adjust the height with either using the harness so it works as a forward facing car seat, or convert it into a booster using the higher back for when our toddler gets older using whichever of the 9 positions on the harness along with the 2 position buckle we might be needing. We can also adjust the recline on the seat, so that even when we go on long road trips or just down the street to the store, my little one can ride both safely and comfortably.
Then when it comes to the safety features that the Frontier Clicktight offers, I like that there are 2 layers of side impact to help keep little heads and necks safe in the case of a accident. On the head rest you find a deep protective shell which absorbs crash forces and shields your child from debris, along with an energy absorbing headrest that keeps your child’s head and neck secure. You also get the SafeCell Impact Protection, which offers features that go above and beyond the federal safety standards to help ensure your child remains safe while they are properly fastened in their seat. These features include the Impact Absorbing Harness, along with the Impact Absorbing Base, an Impact Stabilizing Steel Frame, and Complete Side Impact Protection PLUS! All together ensuring that when you use the Frontier Clicktight properly, you are using a seat in your vehicle that is built with your child’s safety in mind!
