When it comes to feeling thankful and showing that gratitude to those who serve our country, I like to find ways where I can reach out, and send soldiers who are not home with their families my thanks for their sacrifices. Now there are times set aside, like over the holidays where you can find many organizations and groups who collect donations to send to our troops, but on days where we take for granted the time with our families, our troops are over seas, working and serving us here and sacrificing their time for us. So when I was told about the program that the people from See’s Candies have put together, to allow anyone who wants to, to show their gratitude and write a personal letter to a soldier, I was very excited to learn more and share the program with my readers.
The program is called See’s for Soldiers, and starting tomorrow June 19th through July 5th, when you head to your local See’s store or go online, you can write a personal note which will be sent to a soldier. Aside from writing and sending a soldier a personal note of gratitude, See’s Candies will also send soldiers a sucker for each note that is sent. Giving our brave men and women not only a great note from a stranger showing their gratitude and thanks for the sacrifices they are making everyday, but also giving them a sweet treat to enjoy while they read the letter.
So be sure to not only head to your local See’s Candies or go online and send your letter, but also tell others to do so as well, so they can send letters and suckers to as many soldiers as possible! And to help with showing gratitude when it comes to supporting our troops, the wonderful people from See’s Candies would like to give one of my amazing readers a $10 gift card!!!

Hello Katie, I am Kathy Partak, the creator of See's For Soldiers. When my husband returned from an 18 month deployment in 2005 and I was helping organize our local Kiwanis clubs annual See's fundraiser, I suggested they offer the option for customers to buy an extra box of candy and my husband and I would make sure it got shipped to our troops serving over seas. Who could have known would be working with organizations all over CA 11 years later? Thank you for supporting this program! Big smiles!

I wrote several notes in store earlier this week. (Dad had a craving for Bordeauxs and I was more than happy to run that errand for him!!!)
I did the letter of gratitude when I saw the papers to fill them out on during a recent visit to See's!
