The summer vacation has officially started for us here in Texas, and for me that means it is time to ensure we have everything we will need to make sure the vacations we go on will be memorable for everyone. Now on that checklist, I have our suitcases, toiletries, services that need to be done on our vehicle for the summer road trips, snacks to have in the car while we travel, and a reminder to get my eyes checked and get new glasses before heading out. So when I was given the chance to pick out a pair of glasses from Visionworks to have filled with my prescription, I was excited to be able to mark the eye glasses part off of my list.
For me, having my eyes checked each year is a given, it is something that I have on the calendar for my entire family. I like to have my eyes checked right before our summer break begins, so that when we head out on those road trips with the family, I can ensure that my vision is at its best, and my eye wear will provide the vision I need to ensure my families safety while driving.
To get started, I was able to find a pair of very fashionable glasses from the selection I found online at Visionworks, allowing me to pick out a pair of name brand glasses like the Guess ones I went with. I liked the fact that I was able to save time by shopping for the perfect frames online and not in person, I was able to upload a picture of myself, then try on the frames virtually using the Better You Frame Finder!
The next step was to make sure I had my eyes checked, which was done by my Optometrist. Once I had my eyes checked and had my new prescription for eye glasses in hand, I was able to head to my local Visionworks, hand them my prescription, hand them the pair of glasses I wanted to have filled with my prescription, pay using my vision insurance, then wait for the phone call that my glasses were ready!
I have found that I not only adore the glasses I picked out, but I liked that the process of finding frames online was easy, and when I was ready to get them, I was able to find the frames at my local store and reassure myself by trying them on at the store! I also liked that I could order the frames, then have them filled without any hassles, and pick them up right from my local store. Making my experience with Visionworks both online and off, a very pleasing one and one that I will recommend to others when it comes to shopping for glasses!

I love their selection, hard to pick one pair, but I saw they have a bogo event right now, plus they accept a large variety of insurances, making the buying of new glasses even more enjoyable 🙂
