With the holiday break in the horizon, I like to find movies that I can put on and watch with the family. So when we were sent The Hundred-Foot Journey on Blu-Ray, I was very excited to watch it and add it to our family movies to share over the holidays this year!
In this movie, you have a Indian family, who after a tragedy, find themselves displaced. They are a family who are known for their love for food. They not only cook together, but their foods are something they pride themselves on. The family find themselves, broken down in a small French village, where they decide to put down roots in and open a family restaurant. This all seems great until they realize that the local French restaurant is not only one that is known for its amazing cuisine, but also one that does not take kindly to a little competition. The two find that they can come together, in the strangest of ways, both having a love and passion for food!
