This week is World Breastfeeding Week, and to celebrate, I want to share some of the best products that are on the market for new and pregnant mothers, who are either already breastfeeding or are considering taking that breastfeeding journey with their new baby!
To start I was sent the Philips AVENT Single Electric Comfort Breast Pump to review. As a mother who has breastfed her own babies in the past, it is a given for me on whether or not to breastfeed, and it is also something I would encourage others to do if they are considering it. I have found, after 3 kids, that having products that not only promote healthy breastfeeding, but that can also give comfort to mom, is very ideal. One of the things I have learned is to share the experience, meaning that when baby is here, and mom chooses to breastfeed, they should allow others to also get that bonding experience with baby by pumping milk for others to feed baby with!
This not only allows that extra milk to come out and offer mom relief, but it gives mom a chance to relax during a feeding, and gives dad or any other caregiver the chance to feed and bond with baby. And with the Philips AVENT Single Electric Comfort Breast Pump, moms get a breast pump that is effective, and that also offers mom comfort while she is pumping.
The breast pump machine is very easy to operate, and set up, so it makes pumping a simple process that is both beneficial to mom, baby, and others who want to be able to bond with baby by feeding baby! I like that there are three expression settings, allowing mom to choose the comfort levels as she pumps. Another aspect when it comes to the comfort that I can really appreciate, is the fact that mom can sit naturally as the pump is running, and not have to position herself in a awkward and uncomfortable position.
I like that this pump does not leak, and on the pump cushion, there are little petals, which when the pump is running, help to mimic the feel of the suction of a baby. This also helps with massaging the breast, giving mom comfort when pumping, even when mom is on the go!
