Family time is something I cherish, because I know that the time we have as the kids grow up, is too short. They all grow so quickly, so I like to make the time that we have count. There are many ways that we make family time count by doing fun activities as a family, and one way having fun is having our family game nights! Recently I was sent a product that brings our family game nights to a whole new level when we were sent a Sphero to review!
With the Sphero, the whole family can enjoy hours of fun with the free apps that come with the Sphero, and even Wyatt can enjoy watching as the Sphero rolls and does its tricks. The kids can even enjoy individual play, with this awesome little robot.
The Sphero is a robotic ball, that is unlike any toy or game we have ever had. I mean, it is controlled from our tablets, iOS or any Android device, and we can make it go, watch it as it rolls at 7 feet per second, which is also pretty amusing for our dogs. We can also use it with apps on iTunes, using it as a control device like a mouse, when playing games! It can change direction quickly and easily, and it also changes colors! Then when we put the Nubby on our Sphero, it not only does all of the tricks it did before we dressed it, but it also becomes a toy that the kids can even play with in the water. They can have it do tricks on the ramps that came with our Sphero, and with the Nubby, we can keep it from getting scuffed and protected!
The games are not only fun to play, but the kids can enjoy education interaction with their Sphero, adding play into learning, which is pretty awesome if you ask me! With the learning aspect, the Sphero SPRK, the kids can learn the basic aspects of programming, robotics and math, bringing this toy like robotic device to a different level, one that can be beneficial when it comes to the kids learning! In all we have found the Sphero to be a great toy to have for the entire family, making it not only a great toy that has lots of games we can all play with together as a family, but also a great interactive educational device for the kids to play with together or on their own!
