As we prepare to head out for our summer vacations, we like to think that when we are not at home, things are safe. For my family, we not only like to keep our home safe with security cameras and such, but we also like to ensure our pets are taken care of, and any mail or packages that arrive, are placed inside and kept safe from the elements. To ensure the house, our pets and our mail are taken care of, we usually have a friend who will stop by and keep an eye on things while we are gone. We usually give our friend or house sitter a key when we are gone, but the thing is, if they were to misplace that key or if we were to come back home late in the evening, having a extra key on hand, is ideal. But like many, leaving that spare key under a rock or in the mailbox leaves our homes vulnerable, when we are not there. So when I was sent the Master Lock 5422D Portable Key Safe to review, I felt more at ease for when we head out on our summer vacations!

I like that it is not only easy to set up and put our own password in, but it is easy to use, so when we need to use it, we can easily show our house sitter how to use it at well. Giving us peace of mind while we are away from home!

To use it, once you set your password, you just put in the code, open it and either put a key in or take it out, then to close it, you put the code in again, then place the cover up over the key pad. We have used this great key safe, and plan on using it again for other summer travel this year.
