Looking Back on Britain's Got Talent

When it comes to talent searches both in the US and in other countries, I think there are just a few that really stand out, and aside from the popular show, America’s Got Talent, one like enjoy following as well is the popular show, Britain’s Got Talent! Recently, I was challenged by Mecca Bingo to come up with my 5 favorite acts who I think should have won BGT. There is so much talent out there, and to be a judge, put in the seat of choosing which acts can go on to the next round, well I feel for them. It can not be a easy job.

Choosing which acts I have really enjoyed is a hard one, but one that I think has stood out for many is the recent one from Bars and Melody! The video of their performance has been shared and shared again, and for 2 little boys to capture the hearts and minds of audiences around the world, takes a lot. The message in the anti-bullying song is a powerful one, and after years of watching the talent shows with so much amazing talent, I will have to admit that their 1 song is one that I will remember, one that gave me chills the first time I heard it, and each and every time since! So, when asked to pick 5 talents, that I think would be my favorite acts, this one would have to be at the top of my list!

Another act that had me captivated, as well as many others who watched it in awe, was the Spectacular Salsa with Paddy and Nico! The talent that Paddy showed on that stage is amazing, one that many can look to, and when they begin to doubt themselves, they can look back at the performance again and again, and remember that you can do anything you put your mind to. I mean, to see that elderly woman dance and move, be thrown around with such agility is just jaw dropping. Which is why, I put this particular act at number 2 on my list!

Number 3 would have to be the act that stunned not only the judges, but others who watched the act! The act would be the Tin Man dance that was performed by Kieran Lai! Moves like that are something else, and I enjoyed seeing how he was in sync with the music, giving the audience an impression of a robotic, “Tin Man”!

For my fourth choice, would be that adorable dance duo, who came on dressed as The Men in Black, giving a street dance type of routine. I enjoy watching dancers, and kids who are talented like that, really make the search for a talent really enjoyable!

And for the fifth act that I have enjoyed, that I would put in my top five, would have to be Francine Lewis! She is a comedian, and I, as well as many others, have enjoyed her many impressions she does in her 1 person comedy routine! In all, there have been many acts that have gone on the show Britain’s Got Talent, there are many that I, as well as many others have enjoyed, and I find it to be very entertaining to watch as each act goes on to show what they can do!
