When it comes to teachers, I have a very high appreciation for them. I come from a family of educators, with my mom who is a high school English and Drama teacher to my grandparents, one who taught English to immigrants and another who was an educational architect and designed campuses all over the world then published books on his work. I think that something I have learned, and really appreciated about teachers is, that they do it out of passion, and not for the paycheck. Each year as my mom prepares for school and even through out the school year, she goes to office supply stores like Office Depot and purchases the supplies she needs for her classrooms, using money that comes straight out of her pocket. My mom also spends her down time, thinking of and researching plays, books, certain lesson plans, and other activities that she will engage her students in, making teaching others her life’s work.
Over the years, I have learned and seen first hand, that teachers everywhere have and share the same passion, by going out of their way to make a difference in the lives of their students. Well to show appreciation to teachers everywhere, the people from Office Depot would like to help by partnering with Adopt-A-Classroom. With the Adopt-A-Classroom program, people everywhere can help amazing teachers everywhere by donating to the non-profit organization, Adopt-A-Classroom, and they help to connect donors to their local teachers as well as teachers from all over, to help enhance the learning environments of the students. This great program not only helps teachers by getting donations for their classes, but it also helps by raising awareness about teachers and what they do for their students!
So as you sit back and think about the teachers that have touched your lives, from your kids experiences to your own personal experiences, show your appreciation for all that they do, and head over to the Teachers Change Lives website. Then when you get to the site, click on the Donate to a Teacher button, which will take you to the Adopt-A-Classroom site, and follow the steps from there!

What a great program! I love how Office Depot always shows appreciation for teachers. I used to attend their Teacher Appreciation Day every year and they gave out great goodies!
Wow, now this is awesome and I will share with my kids because I have heard them repeatedly talk about some special teachers my grandchildren have had. Way to go Office Depot!
Love the video! My Aunt is a teacher and she does some pretty incredible things with her teaching and her kids! Great appreciation for all the wonderful things they accomplish.
