With the holiday prep that I do each year, I always add in the movies. I enjoy finding holiday movies that we can add into our family movie nights leading up to the holidays. It not only gives us a chance to enjoy a great movie together on our movie nights, but it also gets everyone ready for the upcoming holiday season. Recently I was sent a movie that will make for a great addition to our list of holiday favorites! I was sent the DVD, My Little Pony: A Very Minty Christmas to review with my family. Ever since I was a little girl, I enjoyed collecting the My Little Pony toys, and as my daughter has grown, she too has enjoyed the adorable pony toys as well as the television series. In this great holiday movie, you have Minty, who is excited for Santa to come to Ponyville. In Ponyville they have traditions, ones that lead up to Santa’s arrival and that have made Christmas run smoothly every year. Well, when Minty accidentally breaks tradition, the ponies believe that Christmas will not come for them. Minty feels awful about what happened, so she finds herself determined to fix things and make sure that Santa comes. She finds her friends from Ponyville ban together to help her and cheer her up. After their efforts, the friends all discover that Christmas will still come, and that they can have a memorable and enjoyable Christmas!! Aside from the great family movie, we also enjoyed the bonus sing along! We found this movie to be a great one to add to our family movie night as well as to our list of Christmas favorites, and to help my readers start gearing up for the holidays, the wonderful people from Shout!
