When I was a kid, Nintendo was the game console that we played on, aside from the arcades, and one of my favorite games that is still around today is Donkey Kong! I loved going to the local arcade at the mall and playing Donkey Kong and my kids have enjoyed playing Donkey Kong on their Wii and Nintendo DS! Well, to make that love for that fun loving Donkey Kong even greater, we were sent the DVD Donkey Kong Country: He Came He Saw He Kong-Quered, to review and have our own little nostalgic viewing party with! Donkey Kong and his best friend Diddy Kong are ready to come to your family movie night! Join this adorable duo as they battle King K Rool and the Kremlings. We found that the basket of goodies was a great way to enjoy this movie. With the slap bracelets, gloves and sunglasses, I was taken back to when I was a kid in the 80’s! The popcorn, toys, and cool sunglasses were a great addition and the kids enjoyed all of the contents of this basket, but the hit was of course the DVD Donkey Kong Country: He Came He Saw He Kong-Quered! On this DVD you will get to enjoy 90 minutes of Donkey Kong fun in the 4 episodes that include: Bad Hair Day, Ape Foo Young, Booty And The Beast, and Barrel Barrel Who’s Got The Barrel. I enjoyed the animation and how it really brought me back to my childhood. My husband and I enjoyed how the cartoons stayed true to the video game that we remember, before all of the violence and such that we try to avoid in the video games that we buy for our kids. The episodes were filled with good clean fun, that parents can really feel good about sharing with the kids on a family movie night or for anytime! This DVD is now available to bring home and share with your family from Phase 4 Films.
This was not a paid post and honest/original opinions were used and they are my own. Thank you to the company and/or pr agency who supplied the product for review.
We still have the Original Donkey Kong games that came out for the Nintendo, and we have just about every Donkey Kong game there is. We love playing this game! It is so much fun! A classic!
I used to love playing Donkey Kong when I was growing up. I think it was one of the original Nintendo game systems. I can't think of what it is called but I'm thinking Intellivision.
Is it really possible that Donkey Kong is 30 years old? Say it aint so! Please! That makes me pretty dan old myself. But I like to look back and see this kind of thing, movies and games, as a blast from the past.
i need to get this for my nephew
