#DisneyPaintMom Finding The Theme And Colors For A Child's Room With Glidden Disney Paint!

When we were in our old house, Estrella had the chance to paint and decorate her room the way she wanted it. She was involved in the entire process, from picking out the colors to the quotes she wanted and pictures she wanted painted on her walls. She also assisted in some of the painting as well. We had told Robert that he would get a chance to do his room but then we moved this past Fall after having Wyatt and we had not gotten around to painting the rooms. It was not until recently when we finally came up with a theme and paint idea that Robert liked. I was given the chance to do a review on some of the new Disney Paints that you can find at Walmart from Glidden Paint. The past couple of weeks, Robert has become very excited on redoing his room, from the paints to the decorations that he wants to put in his room. Robert is a huge Disney fan, and like many other little boys out there his age, he adores Buzz Lightyear, so you can guess that when we saw that there was a Buzz Lightyear theme available for this review, Robert insisted on it! I think that allowing Robert to have say in what and how we do his room is important. I had my chance to do his room when he was a baby and a toddler, and I took full advantage of it, but now that he is getting a little older and also since he is a big brother, he and I both feel that he can take part in redoing his room! To get started with our Buzz Lightyear room, Robert and I headed to Walmart and went to go and check out their Glidden Disney Paints display. We both were amazed by the selection they had in colors, and we loved how easy it was to find exactly what we wanted after looking over the charts that were on the display. Robert also really liked the pamphlet that was on the display had some really great ideas for his room in it. After finding the paint that we are going to go with and getting the tools we will be needing, we decided to walk around Walmart and get some of the items that we saw in some of the pictures that are in the pamphlet, like the stars that he can put up and the stencils that we will be using! I also loved that while we were doing some shopping for Robert’s room at our Walmart, we were able to find some great room decor that will go great with his new Buzz Lightyear theme! Robert and I found the shopping experience at Walmart for his room to be a great one and a memorable one. We both loved that when we were looking over the colors for his room and trying to figure out which brushes and other items for painting we were going to need, there were staff there to help us and give us not only advice but help us find what we would need and get us ready for our new project! Our painting adventure has just started and here in the next couple of weeks I will continue to update you on our progress as well as show you Robert’s new room!! If you are looking to add some color to your kids rooms and you would like to know where to start, head on over to your local Walmart, check out the Glidden Disney Paints display, which I am going to tell you are only available at Walmart, and get some great ideas as well as products to get your own project started today!!

I really like the Disney paint idea. I will have to take my kids to the store to check it out. We were just talking about repainting different rooms in the house.

Those are so cute. Good luck on your theme. My son loved Buzz when he was little.

I think it's very cool to let her paint and decorate her own room. My daughter just turned 2 but she is super strong willed and really needs to be allowed to make decisions. I'll have to keep this in mind when she's old enough to pain a room 🙂

Oh my gosh this is so cool. My daughter would love to have her room painted. I was looking at the list of paints they have on their website and the have one called Speck-Tacular. It has a sparkling confetti effect, how cool would that be. I will have to check out all the colors and types next time I am in Walmart. Thanks for the info.

I think it's very important to involve kids with decisions so they have some control and ownership of the process.slehan at juno dot com

Estrella had chosen to go with a Disney Princess Pink paint after she had got new bedding and a dollhouse, she wanted it all to match, since we have moved she has yet to think of a theme. She is older now and is not into a Pink color at this point 😉

I found a paint called Red Delicious by Glidden at Wal-Mart. I'm thinking of using it for my front door.
