Keeping The Mosquitos At Bay With The ThermaCELL Mosquito Repelling Lantern

We love to be outdoors, but one of the drawbacks of the outdoors can be the mosquitos, especially here in Texas. They can be quite a pest and can ruin a camping trip. I know that when Estrella was little, she was allergic to mosquito bites, so we had to pile on the repellent and lite those strong smelling candles all around our campsite just so we could try to enjoy a weekend at the lake, but with all of those repellents and such, you have that strong smell, and chemicals. I personally can not stand the smell of repellent, but I used it so that I could keep my daughter from breaking out from a single mosquito bite. As the years have gone by, we have tried different solutions or remedies as to avoid using the sprays and lotions, and also over the years, Estrella has gotten past her reaction to the bites, but I still find those little pests to be what they are, pests, and they can still make a weekend at the lake, a very itchy vacation. This year we are going to try something new when we go camping, we are going to be taking the ThermaCELL Mosquito Repellent Lanterns and protect our campsite and family from those pesky biting insects! We had a nice spout of warm weather this past week during our Spring Break here, and like many other Texans, we too took full advantage of the outdoors and the beautiful Texas weather, this also gave us a chance to test out the ThermaCELL Mosquito Repellent Lantern we were sent to review. With the Dark Bronze Lantern, you get about a 15 x 15 space that will be safe from those pesky skeeters. We used it in our backyard, and even though the mosquito season has not hit in full swing, we did notice that the horse flies that are out now did not bother us while we sat within the perimeter. So I think it is fair to say that when we go camping later in the year, taking a few of these useful and stylish, non-chemical smelling lanterns from ThermaCELL they will help us keep those skeeters at bay and help us really enjoy being outdoors!

This was not a paid post and honest/original opinions were used and they are my own. Thank you to the company and/or pr agency who supplied the product for review.

Just in time to soon get stuff ready and plan for summer time. Mosquitoes are suppose to be bad this coming year. This we can move around and sit it near us where ever we are.

I need this too! My grandson is also allergic to so many things and when a mosquito bites him, it swells so big. He could enjoy the outdoors more in the winter with this.

This would be great here in FLorida. We don't have horseflies, but we are well known for our mosquitoes.

I hate having to spray that noxious stuff on the kids every year, but I doubt a lamp could keep our killer mosquitos off. We have a lake and 4 ponds nearby so they are terrible!

They are bad in our area too. Some days we dont go out because they are bad. I dont care for the sprays because of breathing them in so this will be nice to have instead. Thanks for the info
