A man finds himself in a life that he did not imagine nor new he had. After his father passes away, he finds that he has a sister who he did not know about. He then finds himself discovering life all over again and finds a connection with the family he did not know existed. I found People Like Us to be one of those great movies that you can share with the family on your family movie night, but if you do, you might want to invest in a few boxes of tissue to pass around during the movie. Not only was this movie one that really plays at your heartstrings, but knowing that is based on real life events just makes it that much more powerful. I was sent the Blu-Ray copy to review and with the Blu-Rays bonus features, you can learn more about the story that this movie was based on. On top of the story you also get to watch the deleted scenes, bloopers and the audio commentary with the writer, director and actors!
