American Girl: Books For Building A Girl's Self Esteem

Like many other little girls out there, my daughter is a huge American Girl fan. From the adorable and collectible dolls, the matching outfits that she can get for herself and her dolls to the great collection of American Girl books that she just loves to read. Recently we were sent some of the new books that have been added to the collection of American Girl books. I love how they have books that target challenges that girls might face in their lives, so when girls are reading these books they can relate to the characters in the stories and they also understand and follow the tips they are given in these books. My daughter was sent “The New Girl”, “A Smart Girl’s Guide to Liking Herself”, and “The Crystal Ball”. The first two are books that girls can relate to when it comes to real life situations. My daughter might not be the new girl at school, but this book helps her understand what it is like for the new girls in her school. Then with “The Smart Girl’s Guide to Liking Herself”, my daughter does relate to the ideas and concepts in this book. My daughter is at that age before puberty, where other kids can be mean, and where girls can really take some of the mean things that other kids might say to heart. With the third book, “The Crystal Ball”, my daughter can get lost in a great mystery that she can really enjoy and follow!!! In all, these books make for a great addition to my daughters collection of loved American Girl books!!!!!!!
