Bridesmaids: Girls Night In Release Party!!

This afternoon, we had a Bridesmaids: Girls Night In Release Party!! It was a blast. Although I guess you could say we started the party last night. I had a couple of friends over to help me get things set up and cut up the watermelon for our watermelon margaritas. Well we had to try the margaritas and we ended up liking them a little too much and we used all of the tequila we had bought, oops, lol! So we will call that the pre-party! A little sample of the party. Well today I was lucky enough to still have the decorations and snacks ready, which gave me some time to run and get some wine for the release party. Once everything was ready and my girls showed up, we were ready to watch the movie. We served up some wine and got our snacks then sat down to watch the movie! My husband did join us because he had wanted to see the movie as well. Let me just say one thing, freaking hilarious. I think my husband laughed the hardest out of everyone. I loved how real it was. I swear that every woman I know has their own little craziness, and I love how each of these women showed their craziness. That is what makes them such good friends, because when you are close to your friends, you see each others crazy sides. In Bridesmaids you have the bride who has a group of friends that are so different. Her best friend is one that she has known her whole life, then you have the other best friend, the new best friend, who she has only known for a short time. The two best friends go into a competitive mode to show the other one up, and to always have the last thoughts and words on who is the better friend. The bride chooses her childhood friend to be her maid of honor, but because of the obvious jealousy she has towards the new best friend, she becomes the maid of dishonor, and ends up wrecking the bridal shower. The maid of honor finds that everything in her life seems to be falling apart. Her love life is a basically non existent one in the terms of love, her career is wrecked and her friendship is out the door. When she needed her best friend the most, she was not there. She is so consumed on how messed up everything seems to be for her, that she is blind to see a good thing that is right in front of her. So blind to it that she looses it before she even realizes what she had. She realizes that things are not all peaches and cream for everyone. Her best friend is still the same person, she is just getting married. The other best friend is the type that puts on a front, the type you know has some skeletons begging to come out and show their ugly faces. Then there is her own life that can be fixed, she just has to work at it!! Then there is the other bridesmaids who are as crazy as they can be in their own weird ways! This movie is great, I laughed so hard that I cried. My friends and my husband were all in the same boat. This is the perfect movie for a girls night in or just any movie night for that matter!! My husband was thinking it was going to be just another chick flick, but after watching Bridesmaids, he has a whole new opinion about this movie. This afternoon movie party made for a perfect Sunday brunch party! I had a blast and I know everyone else did as well!!

Wine, cheese, crackers, fruit and chocolate! Perfect!!!!

what you’ll need

• 1 oz. [yellow tail] Bubbles Sparkling White Wine
• 1.5 oz. blueberry flavored vodka
• 1 oz. watermelon liqueur
• 2 oz. fresh lemonade
• watermelon wedge and blueberries

how to mix it up
Shake all ingredients except [yellow tail] Bubbles Sparkling White Wine in a martini shaker with ice. Strain into a chilled martini or collins glass. Add ice. Top with [yellow tail] Bubbles Sparkling White Wine . Garnish with fresh blueberries and a small watermelon wedge.
