You know, when you visit Texas you have to go to a steak house. I mean a good steak house to really get the feel and the taste that Texans everywhere brag about. One restaurant that can be found in various places in Texas is Hoffbrau Steaks. I live in Amarillo, Texas, which is in the Texas Panhandle and we are lucky enough to have a Hoffbrau Steaks , just a few blocks from our house. Well I was given the chance to do a review on this awesome restaurant. I love the originality and the down home feeling you get from walking in. From the decor to the set up, you get that feeling that you are about to embarge on a really great Texas dinning experience. We started our meal with some very tasty Texas Pesos. These sliced jalepenos were served lightly breaded with some melted cheese on top and some really great, home made ranch to dip them in. These were a great starter and so very yummy!! For the meal I went with the Dr Pepper Chicken Sandwich, which had an amazing Dr Pepper BBQ Sauce, then for the side I went with the famous Brau Chips, which are a very delightful and tasty freshly made potato chips. My entire meal was amazing. Then my husband went with the Chopped Steak with Mushrooms and Onions on top. I had a bite of his meal, and the tastes were amazing, the steak was cooked perfectly and every bite was just perfect!! My husband chose the mashed potatoes as a side and said they were so creamy and flavorful. Our son seemed to really enjoy the Chicken Strips, because there was not anything left on his plate at the end of our meal. For desert we went with the to die for, S’mores Brownie, which was a great end to a really great meal!! The staff was great and the atmosphere was amazing. The perfect setting and ambiance for a wonderful Steakhouse!!! So whether you live in Texas or are going to be traveling to or through, look up the closest Hoffbrau Steaks and stop in for lunch or dinner!! If there's one thing that can stop me dead in my tracks while surfing the internet, its a picture of a juicy steak! Haven't lived in texas for years, but had we come across Hoffbrau during my stay, I'm sure even my Vegan Mother would have been tempted to try it! Great Review, way to make a girls salivary glands work on overdrive!
Hey Guys, It really is a GREAT place to eat.. I also love the Texas Pesos.. I always get two orders one to take home and put in fridge… Hours later i pop em in microwave and they are just as tastey. The steaks are amazing and they cook them just the way you order em. The beer selection is great as well.. Highly recommend this place.
