American Girl Books for Summer Reading

Summer is here and I know that most kids want to put all of the schooling they got this school year behind them. Some kids dont want to do anything that has anything to do with school, and that includes reading. That is why summer reading is so important for our kids. If they go the entire summer without doing anything to exercise their brains, then its just like letting their amazing brains turn to mush. I mean, they wont really turn to mush, but it doesnt help them any for the new school year that is only a couple of months down the road, not to have them do anything to feed their minds. So as a parent, the best thing we can do over the Summer break is encourage summer reading for our kids. When looking for those great summer reading books for our kids, keep in mind what our kids will like, and enjoy, that way it wont be a chore to get them to read. The wonderful people over at American Girl know how important reading is for our children, they also know that teaching our children important lessons while entertaining them at the same time, is something that us as parents look for. I was given a set of books from American Girl to review. This set of books is perfect for adding to my daughters summer reading!! She loves her American Girl doll and she can sit down with her doll and get lost in these wonderful books. I love them because not only do I not have any problems trying to get her to read them, but she is learning great lessons and she activity book is packed with great ideas and activities that she can enjoy with her friends this summer!!!!
