My kids love books! With my daughter in school and learning new words every day, we have her reading to us before her bedtime. She loves to read and her little brother loves for her to read to him! So when we were given the Alphabet Kids childrens’ book set to sample and review, courtesy of Alphabet Kids, she was thrilled to read some new books and learn to read some new words. The series from Alphabet Kids consists of 6 books. In these 6 different books in the series, you get to meet and know each of the kids that make Alphabet Kids.
We started with Yang’s New Dance.
In this great book you get to meet Yang and learn a little about the Chinese culture as well. Yang is a kid just like the other kids at school. The other kids notice Yang doing a very strange and unusual, yet very interesting dance. Yang brings in a very special guest to his class to teach his friends about this dance.
In Umar’s Magic Oven the kids are asked to bring snacks in. The kids share their different types of breads, then Umar brings his dad in to show the kids how to make a very special and very yummy bread that is a bread that is native to his culture which is the Arabic culture.
Oni’s Good Hair Day is a great book that I think every kid needs to read. Kids a cruel and sometimes they dont realize how cruel they can be. This book teaches that everyone is different. Different kids have different hair, and just because they may look different it does not make them bad. It also teaches kids that it is not ok to point out someones differences because it can hurt that persons feelings even when they might not have meant to do so.
Isaac’s Zoo is a great book! In Isaac’s Zoo, Isaac gets some new pets. Even though his pets are different it seems as though everyone has different pets too. Isaac decides to make a special event for all of his friends at school to be able to show and teach everyone about their different pets and what makes them special!!
In Elena’s Birthday Surprise, Elena is so excited to get to school and celebrate her birthday with her friends. But when she gets there it seems as though no one seems to remember what day it is. This upsets Elena, but what Elena learns is that with just a little patience her friends are always there for her and have planned something very special for her!!
In Allegra’s Apple Tree, the Alphabet Kids learn all about trees and how to be more respectful of them. Allegra brings up very good and interesting facts that their teacher had taught them and about how it is better for everyone if they not waste paper and learn to waste less!!
All of these books are great and we have enjoyed every one of these books. We also enjoyed getting to know all of the wonderful Alphabet Kids!! You can enjoy these great books as well with your kids by purchasing these great books from the Alphabet Kids site!! The wonderful people from Alphabet Kids would like to give one of my amazing readers the complete set of 6 great books along with a very nice book bag that can be reused, all courtesy of Alphabet Kids!!!
